Backup
Save a copy of everything you imported, restore it in any browser, mark nights you used CPAP without data, or remove what you no longer want. Read the backup guide for step-by-step walkthroughs (iCloud, Google Drive, Dropbox, USB, NAS) and device-change tips.
Your CPAP data, on your terms
CPAP Clarity keeps everything you import in your browser, on your computer, not on a server. Your CPAP nights, oxygen nights, wearable nights, and machine settings all live there. This page is where you look after them. Save a copy you keep, bring that copy back in another browser, mark nights you used CPAP without recording data so they are not counted as gaps, and remove what you no longer want.
A backup is one .zip file holding every night you imported (CPAP, oximeter, wearable and AirMini), every night you marked, and your most recent machine settings. Restoring it in another browser, on the same computer or a different one, brings the same nights back.
Manual nights mark dates you used your CPAP but no data was recorded: a travel machine, or the SD card left at home. They count toward your consistency score and your compliance streak, so a night you were actually on therapy is not read as a gap. Do not mark nights you were off therapy. Those are real gaps, and marking them would overstate your consistency.
Frequently asked questions
What does a backup save?
A backup holds every CPAP night you imported with its charts and events, every oximeter and wearable night, every AirMini usage night, every night you marked, and your most recent machine settings, in one .zip file. Your nights restore in one step, so a closed tab or a crash partway through cannot leave you with half of them. Machine settings are saved just after; if they cannot be, the page says so and asks you to import your SD card again.
How do I restore on a new device?
On the new device, open this Backup page and tap "Restore from Backup". Select the .zip file you saved. If that browser already has nights in it, the restore merges the two. Nights only the backup has are added, and nights only that browser has are kept. If the backup is from a different machine than the one in that browser, we ask first, and saying yes replaces that browser's nights with the backup's.
Will deleting a session affect my therapy score?
Yes. The therapy score is computed from the sessions present in your local store. Deleting a session removes it from the score window. Manual-night marking answers a different question: it records a night you were on CPAP with no data recorded, and adds that night to your consistency. It is not a way to drop a session you would rather not count. Sessions younger than 90 days are protected from deletion to prevent accidentally wiping recent data; the protection is documented inline where the delete buttons appear.
What happens if I clear browser data?
Your nights are stored with the rest of your browser's data for cpapclarity.com. Clearing browser data for this site erases everything you imported, and we cannot get it back, because none of it is on our side. Take a backup before any browser cleanup, a browser switch, or a new device. CPAP Clarity also asks the browser to keep its storage (where the browser allows it), so the browser is less likely to clear it on its own.
Why are some sessions undeletable?
Nights from the last 90 days are protected from deletion so a slip cannot wipe your recent therapy history. The protection releases automatically on the 91st day after the session date. If you need to delete a recent session for a specific reason, use the "Clear all data" path under the Advanced accordion; that wipes everything but is at least a single deliberate gesture rather than a per-row mistake.
