CPAP Clarity reads the EDF files from your AirCurve 11 ASV SD card and shows you what myAir leaves out: pressure support moving against your target ventilation, the breath-by-breath flow trace, leak, your event breakdown, and the EPAP and pressure support ranges your machine is actually running.
What CPAP Clarity shows you
The personal ventilation target the ASV algorithm is steering toward, recorded every two seconds. No other machine we read exposes it. CPAP Clarity charts it directly under your actual minute ventilation on the same wall-clock axis, so you can see where the two came apart.
ASV varies pressure support breath by breath inside your prescribed range instead of holding one fixed gap. The pressure trace shows that gap widening when your breathing drive falters and settling when it does not.
Your AHI, with apneas and hypopneas counted separately. Your firmware writes every apnea as a generic Apnea, so CPAP Clarity shows them as unclassified rather than inventing an obstructive or central label the card does not carry.
The 25 Hz flow trace from the BRP files, so you can zoom into a single breath. On this device the trace was diffed sample by sample against OSCAR's own export of the same card, with zero mismatches.
Mask seal over the whole night, converted from the liters per second the card stores. Median leak shows typical fit; the 95th percentile catches the short bursts a nightly average hides.
Breathing rate, tidal volume and minute ventilation across the night. Minute ventilation is the one to read next to your target: the distance between them is the ASV algorithm's job.
Therapy mode, minimum and maximum EPAP, minimum and maximum pressure support, start pressure, mask type, tube type, humidity and climate control, read from the card and shown exactly as your machine reports them.

How to import your data
Remove the SD card
Power the machine off. The card sits behind a small removable cover on the left side of your AirCurve 11, the end opposite the humidifier water tub, when you face the screen. Take the cover off, press the card in to release it, and pull it out.
Insert into your computer
Plug the card into a USB card reader connected to your computer. A drive named DATALOG or similar should appear.
Drop the whole folder on CPAP Clarity
Open CPAP Clarity, go to the import page, and drag the entire SD card folder onto the drop zone. Do not open DATALOG or SETTINGS first: drop the card itself and the format is detected automatically.

What is the ResMed AirCurve 11 ASV?
It is ResMed's adaptive servo-ventilation machine on the AirCurve 11 platform. Instead of holding one pressure or one fixed pressure gap, it learns the ventilation you normally maintain and adds pressure support breath by breath when your own breathing drive drops away. It is prescribed for central and complex sleep apnea rather than ordinary obstructive apnea. Following the 2015 SERVE-HF trial, ASV is contraindicated where three things apply together: symptomatic chronic heart failure at NYHA class 2 to 4, a left ventricular ejection fraction of 45 percent or less, and moderate-to-severe predominantly central sleep apnea. If you have heart failure, your cardiologist and sleep physician must coordinate before any therapy change.
Does the AirCurve 11 ASV separate central from obstructive apneas?
No, and this surprises people. The firmware writes every apnea to the SD card as a generic Apnea, with no obstructive or central label, unlike the AirSense 10, AirSense 11 and AirCurve 10, which all subtype their events. Your total AHI is unaffected. CPAP Clarity shows those events as unclassified apneas and says so on the dashboard rather than guessing a split, so when you take the numbers to your provider the distinction is on the page.
What is target ventilation, and why does it matter?
Target ventilation is the amount of air per minute the machine has decided you should be moving, learned from your own recent breathing. It is the setpoint the whole ASV algorithm chases: when your minute ventilation drops below it, pressure support rises to close the gap. The AirCurve 11 ASV records it to the SD card every two seconds, and CPAP Clarity charts it directly under your actual minute ventilation, on the same wall-clock axis in the night charts, so you can see when and for how long the two came apart.
Does the ASV record Cheyne-Stokes breathing?
Not to the SD card. The firmware writes no Cheyne-Stokes episode file and no Cheyne-Stokes markers in the event file, so there is nothing for any reader to decode, including OSCAR. That is a genuinely odd gap on a machine bought to treat periodic breathing. The machine is still varying pressure support breath by breath against your ventilation target while that is happening, it just leaves no record of the episode windows. Two smaller gaps for the same reason: this firmware does not score RERAs, and it does not record inspiratory time or the inhale-to-exhale ratio that the AirCurve 11 VAuto carries.
Where is the SD card on the AirCurve 11?
Behind a small removable cover on the left side of the machine, at the end opposite the humidifier water tub, when you are facing the screen. Power the machine off, take the cover off, press the card in to release it, and pull it out. You do not need to remove the water tub, and any standard full-size SD card reader will read it.
How is the ASV different from the AirCurve 11 VAuto?
They treat different problems. The VAuto is auto-adjusting bilevel therapy for obstructive apnea, with a pressure gap your clinician fixes. The ASV varies that gap continuously to defend a ventilation target, which is what central and complex apnea needs. The data differs too: the ASV adds the target ventilation channel, and the VAuto keeps the breath-timing channels and the obstructive versus central split that the ASV firmware drops. CPAP Clarity reads both.
Does this work for the AirCurve 10 ASV?
Partly, and it is worth being clear about which part. CPAP Clarity reads the Air10 card format, so an AirCurve 10 ASV card imports, but our AirCurve 10 validation was done on VAuto data and we have not checked an AirCurve 10 ASV card ourselves. Everything specific on this page, the target ventilation channel and the missing event labels, was verified on AirCurve 11 ASV firmware, and ASV firmware in this family can differ between generations. Do I need the SD card, or is myAir enough?
You need the card. myAir gives you a daily score out of 100 built from usage, mask seal, events per hour and how often the mask came on and off. It is a summary, and it never shows you pressure support moving against your ventilation target, which is the whole point of ASV therapy. The machine does send data to your care provider's clinical system, but the SD card is the only copy you can read yourself.
Is my data safe?
Everything happens in your browser. Your therapy data never leaves your computer and is never uploaded to any server. CPAP Clarity keeps it in your browser's local storage so you can come back to it later without importing again, and there is no account to create.
